What Difference We Make?

We impact the elderly, youth, and single mothers by reducing the negative effects of loneliness through companionship, stimulation, and physical activity. We also help maintain connections with their community by supporting them on outings, thus improving their overall well-being.

We recognise the vital importance of involving our community in the development of their well-being.

Wecare community service was inspired by discussions with over 70 community members, particularly elderly individuals and single parents, who expressed a need for support in overcoming loneliness, isolation, and financial difficulties.

We do engage with our community through various means, including in-person and online conversations, surveys, and feedback sessions. We have also established a steering group consisting of community members who provide valuable insights into the needs and concerns of our community.

Furthermore, we also involve our community in the delivery of our project by recruiting volunteers from the local area to serve as befrienders and provide practical assistance to those in need. This has helped us to create a sense of ownership and investment in the projects among community members while also ensuring that our services are tailored to the specific needs of the community.

Overall, we believe that involving our community is essential to the success that we provide in the community, and we will continue to prioritise community engagement as we move forward.
